New Brand Design Case Study
The Clayton Leather Group approached us to create new branding for the main group and their four sub brands,
which were out-dated and had no running theme.
The new branding needed to be consistent, contemporary and resonate with the global luxury market. To complement their new look, they also needed a new integrated set of websites, some beautiful new imagery and bespoke business cards. These all needed to match the feel of the branding, and showcase the rich British heritage, quality and provenance that the group prides itself on.
Our proposition was built around highlighting the history and heritage of the companies, and the high quality and provenance of their products.
We chose a black, white and grey colour scheme to represent the sophisticated, luxury element of the brand and carried this throughout all assets we created for the group. We designed a grid-style interactive homepage that allows the user to explore the group’s history and products with ease, using plenty of compelling imagery to tell the story, and plenty of CTAs to drive conversion.
We also went up to both of the group’s manufacturing sites to capture some fresh, authentic imagery to be flowed throughout the five different websites. The images really captured what the group was all about: timeless, handmade British products made by a team of expert craftsmen, in the same workshop in which they have operated for over 300 years. Business cards are all about networking, so they need to be memorable, make an impact and reflect what your business does straight away. So we designed some unforgettable and elegant business cards, which were produced in the brand’s signature colours and printed onto distinctive leather-embossed card.
The Clayton team have just returned from a trip to China where the brand and website was received fantastically.
