IMI Critical Engineering Exhibition Stand Design.
IMI Critical Engineering asked us to design and create their stand at an upcoming exhibition they were attending. The IMI Group provides engineering services for various industries across the globe, including Government organisations.
IMI were exhibiting at the Defence and Security Equipment International Exhibition (DSEI) in London. This exhibition is known for being a world leading event, connecting governments, national armed forces, industry thought leaders and the global defence and security supply chain.
IMI Engineering asked us to design a stand that would increase their presence at DSEI. The brief included a requirement to include an existing 3D CAD cutaway product together with designing a mini application which would allow the user to experience the product. We had to make their presence stand out in the restricted space they had available.
We designed several concepts of the system with 3D modelling and rendering, retaining the look and feel of the organisation. This gave IMI a realistic visual representation allowing them to experience the system as the guests at the exhibition would.
We created an eye-catching display for the exhibition which included an interactive smart window We incorporated branding specific to IMI Critical Engineering (blue) and IMI Precision Engineering (red) in accordance to their PLC branded guidelines. ; the ribbon imagery helped tie the two divisions together.
User interaction was a key requirement for the stand, so we developed a unique experience with a 3D system which allowed guests to interact with IMI CAD products. The Smart window complemented IMI’s services by allowing the user to experience the physical CAD product within an augmented experience.
IMI asked that we incorporate their physical CAD cut away products into their display. We had to design all of the concepts following IMI brand guidelines and retain their existing look and feel. We were also asked to build the podiums which the system were displayed on.
