Black Friday 2020

With Black Friday just around the corner and the UK in Lockdown, many people are expecting big sales from some of the most popular online brands. Due to the current economic situation in the UK with increased job losses and consumers being less likely to part with large sums of money, Black Friday 2020 may be a little different to usual. That being said, with big sales and exclusive discounts, people looking to save money at Christmas may be deciding to do most of their Christmas shopping over Black Friday weekend when huge deals are on.

Some previous years have seen amazing Black Friday campaigns from brands such as Patagonia. For their 2016 campaign, they donated 100% of all sales to environmental groups and organisations that look to slow climate change down. This campaign was great as it resonated heavily with their audience and they managed to gain over 60K new Facebook followers in just 2 days. 

We’re looking forward to seeing the Gymshark Black Friday campaign. With short teaser videos already filtering through social media channels, they’re starting to already build hype around the Black Friday weekend. They’ve launched the hashtag #BigDealEnergy for the campaign and a countdown across their social channels.
