UX Design.
The process of designing a website is always with the goal to make it easy for all users. A good user experience can help increase conversions, reduce bounce rates and vastly improve any business' online presence.
But first, what is UX design? Well… simply put, it’s about creating a great and intuitive website design. UX design includes critical analysis and logic to understand how users interact with products or services; It includes usability, design, navigation, and impression and takes into account what people will be doing on your site as well as their first impression when they arrive there - all in order for you to get the most out of potential customers!
It’s easy to also sometimes get UX and UI confused, but these are simply two of the most important aspects in web design. UI moreso takes into account every little detail to create beautiful designs that meet customer needs perfectly.
When it comes to website design, our designers always have 5 core principles that they apply to every project:
The design should focus on the users experience
Websites mostly are scanned and not digested fully
Users want clarity and simplicity
Know the audiences the website is targeting
Visual hierarchy
Sticking to those core principles enables our designers to produce beautiful websites, which invoke a feeling and visually impress the end user, whilst of course making it a breeze to navigate and interact with content.
There’s so much more that comes with designing a beautiful website. The mooch design team always work through our in-house developed system to make sure every website design is perfect.

Qualitative and quantitative research
Quantitative research is expressed in numbers and graphs. It is used to test or confirm theories and assumptions. This type of research can be used by our designers to establish generalisable facts about a topic.
Qualitative research is more so expressed in words. It is used to understand concepts, thoughts or experiences. This type of research enables our designers to gather in-depth insights on topics that are not well understood.
Prototyping
Once a design is finished, it’s important to allow other people to test the design and prototyping is a great way to test the designs produced and make sure they are intuitive.
Not everything within a design will require prototyping, but the key routes for a user to get from one page to another or to perform an action like purchasing a product will need prototyping to make sure it’s clear.
Our designers use a range of prototyping applications such as; InVision App, Marvel, Axure, Fluid UI and UX Pin. These applications allow our designers to quickly tag the design with links and pathways for the tester to work though.
Testing
The way a test will be conducted for the design will be done with our designer giving the chosen tester or testers a task, our designer will then monitor how the each tester completes that task. At the same time our designer will be making notes that will also help in improving the design.
Once all feedback and results are collated, this valuable feedback can be use to further improve the design and eliminate any issues arising one the design is passed onto development for build.
