Rum & Sum

A design project with a hint of fun!

How it began

The project began at a branding workshop with our client Hannah back in October 2022. We worked together to turn Hannah’s ideas into a creative concept that we all loved - we made it come to life with a launch on 17th Arpil 2023.

The brief

The concept of Rum&Sum is to appeal to gin drinkers and those who wouldn't necessarily choose rum as their drink of choice. The brand is designed to be ground-breaking, the first of its kind with flavoured and coloured rums. The lead messaging to communicate is that it’s created by independent distillers based in England.

How it’s going

Jess Owen, Designer says: “We've not only done the branding and packaging for Rum&Sum but also the branding for Distinct Distillers themselves - win-win! In addition, we won some work for an upcoming on-to-go cocktail can range, which will be released shortly. We've managed both brands, e-commerce websites and, most recently, a campaign on social channels to get the ball rolling with a launch campaign.”

What’s next

Going forward, we plan to see Rum&Sum take off and create a movement in the world of rum. We hope to continue working alongside Hannah to build on the brand and get involved in any new projects that the distillers create.
